A Day At The Zoo

On Wednesday morning, my class went to the zoo.
We had already passed lots of animals when we got to the giraffes. When we first saw the giraffes, they looked amazing. They were so big they made me feel like I was only one foot tall. They walked really slowly and peacefully. In their enclosure, there were dust trees and stones, and there were deer, zebras and ostriches with them. We saw the deer fighting together.
Next, we went to see the rhinos. They were really fat and really stinky. In their enclosure, there was dirt, and they were making dust as they walked along peacefully. It said on a sign that people were chopping off rhino horns so that they could use them for medicine because they think that it can cure cancer and other diseases like that.
Soon after that, we got bored with the rhinos so we decided to go and see the chimpanzees. They were really funny because one of the zookeepers was in the other cage feeding the chimps and, when one of the chimps saw the food, they would climb up the metal bars and eat it. When the chimps had finished their food, they would hop up on the little deck in their cage and wave to us.
Soon after that, we went into the native birds’ colony where birds sometimes land on you. Sadly, no birds landed on us but we did see some pretty amazing and colourful birds.
Finally, we all got called to the classroom. In the classroom, there were amazing things like lizards, fish, cheetah fur, a dead tracheolar and tortoise shells.
I had an amazing and fun time at the zoo.
