My Shell

My shell is really cool. It is white with a little bit of brown on the top.
It feels very soft, but it has little holes in it.
It probably was in the sea and got washed up on the shore by a huge wave. it has little bits of sand stuck in the little holes that I cannot get out.

Ash Wednesday

Symbols of the Holy Spirit

Some other symbols of the Holy Spirit are fire, water and wind.
You can see some of the symbols that our class drew on our class blog at stproom4.blogspot.co.nz

Bees

What I found out: To fill their honey stomachs, bees must visit 1000 flowers. They give the nectar to other worker bees who chew it for about half an hour. They spread it into hexagon cells, then fan it with their wings to take out the water and make a thicker syrup. They then seal it with wax.

Swimming Sports

This year, our school had swimming lessons in the Ngaruawahia Pool, then we had our Swimming Sports Day.
When we got to the pools, I was feeling super nervous. The first race was freestyle. The water was sparkling and absolutely freezing. When Mr K blew his whistle, all the 8 year old girls dived in the pool and did the race. I was super nervous but my mum and my granny and grandad were there to cheer me on. I came first. My family was so happy with me and I was really happy with myself too.
